Make it Monday - Paper Piecing

I tried paper piecing for the first time.

Basket Weave Star 

Some thoughts on paper piecing:  

• It was fun.

• It was time consuming.

• It took me two papers to get it figured out.

• It was a terrific use of scraps and bits.  

• It seems like a lot of work for a whole quilt.  

• I can see making a table runner or a pillow with this pattern.  

• Should have tried it sooner.

Food Friday - Chile Relleno Casserole and Cafe Rio Salad Dressing

I found the recipe on Pinterest.   Where else would you find a recipe anymore?

Chile Relleno Casserole

It is A LOT of cheese.  

And then after it cooks for an hour you add some more cheese!

It was delicious!  Everyone loved it and had seconds and thirds.  

Cafe Rio Salad Dressing  

I have tried to make salad dressing in the past.  It wasn't that good and it was more work than it was worth.   

This was much better and who wouldn't like to have their own container of Cafe Rio dressing in their fridge?
